In May 2021, La Nueva España published a feature article about Amer and Taher Zanabili, two brothers of Syrian origin who distribute the traditional Aleppo soap from Oviedo, made by their family for more than a century.
The article tells the story of a family that, after the destruction of their factory in Aleppo during the war, managed to resume production in Turkey and keep their craft legacy alive. Today, the Zanabili brothers continue this project with the aim of preserving their roots and bringing a part of Syrian culture closer to the public.
